Who’s ready for the New Year’s special of Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, tonight? I for one look forward to seeing our beloved characters in the Victorian era. While we wait, I would like to share some photos from my visit to the Sherlock Holmes Museum from 2009.
As you may well know, Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson lived at 221b Baker Street (click on the link to read more about the location) between 1881-1904. This historical building that houses 221b Baker Street dates back to 1815 and is listed (meaning it is protected by the Government).

The listed building dating back to 1815

In the study, you’ll be able to take a photo with Dr Watson and wear Sherlock’s deerstalker!

The famous fireplace
On the top two floors, you’ll find quite a few wax figures. Thank goodness my brother was with me (he had read all the books so he explained to me what was going on in each ‘scene’) because I would never have wandered alone with all those wax figures!

Inside the Gift Shop
I hope you enjoyed the photographic tour and enjoy the episode tonight!
