OOTD: A Breton Stripes Crush

I’ve been looking forward to sharing my Breton/nautical/striped outfit, as well as my new navy & white striped bags from Stella & Dot! ⚓

I bought the top back in April or May because it reminded me of the one that The Duchess of Cambridge had worn and I preferred how the stripes started off the shoulders. At first, I paired the top with a vintage French-brand black crepe skirt but I really wanted a high-waisted full skirt that reached my knees. Thank goodness Express had just the skirt I had pictured in my mind. The only problem was that my size sold out (as usual) so I had to get it tailored. The best thing about the skirt is that it comes with pockets. I wish many of my dresses and skirts came with hidden pockets. That way, I wouldn’t have to carry so much in my handbags or hands.

I’d also been looking for a hanging travel case for my makeup so that it would be easier to pack my makeup and to keep them dry. The Stella & Dot hanging travel case comes with 5 compartments. Unfortunately, I do own more makeup than I should so this travel case carries my ‘excess’ items. (Similar: Pouf)

Stella & Dot – Hanging Travel Case in Stripes

My new favourite bag is this tote also from Stella & Dot, which I bought on sale for C$69. I was pretty hesitant about buying a non-waterproof or water-resistant tote because it rains or drizzles so often in Vancouver but at least the interior lining is spill-resistant. It comes with three interior pockets (two open in the front, one zipped in the back) and an interior water bottle-holder, which I thought was very clever. It also comes with one exterior pocket. I liked the cute Stella & Dot clover and anchor charms attached to the handles. Another neat feature is that the tote can be clipped to the sides to be transformed into a satchel.
