Some news on babies making their debut in 2014 in the world of royalty:

On 17 January 2014, Zara Phillips (daughter of Princess Anne; granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II) gave birth to a girl, whom I shall temporarily call Baby Tindall until the name has been announced. I was a bit overwhelmed when I heard the news as I seem to still have my ‘royal baby gender predicting’ gift. It’s actually a bit scary…

I had felt that Zara would have a daughter for since last autumn.

Sometime towards the end of February 2014, Princess Madeleine of Sweden will give birth to her daughter in New York. It’s unfortunate that the baby’s gender was revealed so early to the public, much to the O’Neills’ dismay.

This June, Prince Felix and Princess Claire of Luxembourg will also be expecting their first child. I am guessing the child will be a boy.

That’s all I have for royal baby news. Who knows if any other royal (or royal-related) couples will make a pregnancy announcement in the next 11 months. I’m not-so-secretly hoping that 1) HGD Guillaume and Stephanie of Luxembourg, and 2) Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco will also be expecting their firstborns this or next year.
