(This post was written for The Glosse Posse.)
Continuing on with this month’s inner beauty theme, I would like to encourage our Glosse Posse to continue to SMILE and to LAUGH, especially during this festive season. π
It’s amazing how one smile can be the simplest way to make a huge difference. It puts you in a better mood but it also makes anyone who sees you loosen up. One blogger put this to test on the train in the UK: she smiled as she passed by everyone and slowly, the quiet (and sad or apathetic?) passengers started to chatter happily amongst themselves. The entire mood on the train had changed because of one smile. Well done! π
Once you’re smiling, it won’t take long for you to start laughing. By the way, laughter truly is the best medicine. I have found that even when I’m feeling quite ill, laughing (or croaking) can clear up my throat and change my mood. Suddenly, I feel as if I am almost healthy again and stronger than before. So put on a comedy or read something funny and start laughing!
Both of these will also make your eyes brighten up. You look approachable and full of life! π
Have a good week! π

I will certainly try to smile more today and put this theory to the test. Now I just have to find the most miserable place in LA…post office? DMV? Grocery store at 5 pm is usually hell!
I’ll let you know how my “Day o’ Smiles” goes tomorrow.
It’s not easy! I try to smile at people but most give me weird looks. :p
OMG YES! If I tried the Smile Experiment in NYC I’d get mauled.
Haha! Smile anyway. π
Try this: be happy for an hour. Don’t allow yourself to complain or even to stop smiling. Let everything you say be totally positive and uplifting. This CHANGED MY LIFE! I am so happy now, I feel like life is so much more beautiful when you take time to really appreciate and support the awesome people in your life. π
Oh! That sounds like a wonderful challenge! Thank you for the tip and testimony. I will have to try this!
