Face Exfoliators

(This post was written for The Glosse Posse.)
Today I’m going to introduce you to four facial exfoliators that I have tried and found beneficial.1. Garnier: Skin Naturals Pure – 3-in-1 Wash + Scrub + Mask

This facial product is a cleanser, exfoliator and deep facial mask in one. This was my favourite in university! I didn’t have to buy 3 different facial products so packing it with me on short trips was light and easy. This product contains natural clay, Salicylic acid and zinc. It’s good for oily and/or combination skin. Garnier suggests that you use the cleanser and scrub daily (as a scrub, I’d say use it every other day) but the mask once a week. Your face will feel refreshed after you use this product. :)2.  St Ives: Apricot Scrubs

The first time I tried the Invigorating/Exfoliating Apricot Scrub (green), I was in love. I could not stop touching my cheeks because it was so soft and smooth. However, when I told a sales lady which exfoliator I used, she looked at me in horror. I may as well have told her that I used sandpaper on my face. There is a Gentle Apricot Scrub (pink) for sensitive skin which I have not tried yet but I am told that it’s just as amazing. There are 4 apricot scrubs available, all of which are made of natural ingredients (apricots, corn kernel meals, and walnuts) and are paraben-free. Nice apricot aroma too! ;)3.  Seacret: Purifying Peeling Milk with Apricot Seeds

This is the one I currently use. The milky texture reminded me of Vichy’s 3-in-1 cleanser but less creamy and there were not as many apricot seeds as St Ives’ apricot scrub. This is pretty gentle on the skin and just the sort of exfoliator you should be using on your face, whatever your skin type. As you can see in the picture, it’s paraben free and contains many natural ingredients (incl. Vitamin E, Jojoba, Orange, Sesame, Grape, and Sunflower Oils). There’s a sweet apricot aroma that’s not too strong. :)

This is a gentle exfoliator made of rice starch, lemon oil, aloe and peppermint. According to the Sephora site, 94% of women who had previously gone for clinical microdermabrasion prefer using this product instead. This product does not contain any parabens, sulphates or dyes and is good for all skin types. Apparently there’s a hint of bergamot and peppermint aroma but it was hardly noticeable. This is one of my favourites and I highly recommend this to everyone.
