Back on 27 Sept 2012, it was discovered that the Isleworth Mona Lisa was an earlier painting of Leonardo Da Vinci, if not one of his students’. Today, it’s been announced that the Isleworth/Swiss Mona Lisa is not a student copy but an original by Da Vinci, painted at least 10 years before the Louvre‘s copy.
I like the younger version of the Mona Lisa and hope to see both Mona Lisa paintings someday. I would like to have a poster copy of the ‘original’ ML in my room. 🙂
