I spent all summer looking for 2 kinds of dress shoes: nude pumps and [closed toe] wedges. Yes, I’ll admit that I admired the shoes (the LK Bennett ones) that the Duchess of Cambridge wears and wanted something similar for special occasions / work / casual. I usually wear ballerinas because I don’t know how to wear heals or anything too high and I’m always afraid my shoes will pop off as I’m trying to run somewhere. Furthermore, the heels I’d owned before weren’t always very comfortable and I’d end up kicking the shoes off to save my poor feet.
Just by chance on Sunday, as I was looking for wellies, I found a pair of nude pumps and a pair of black suede wedges at the Payless on Granville & Smithe. (I would’ve preferred patent black but they didn’t have any). When I tried on the nude pumps (Comfort Plus by Predictions), I knew that I had to have this pair because the soles were unbelievably comfortable. Plus, the heel height (3″) was just right for me.
These Karmen pumps are $25.99 CAD before taxes.
Today, I’m wearing Dexter’s Kylie Wedge Pumps (had to splurge on this one at $39.99 CAD before taxes), which are surprisingly comfortable and very stable. Apparently the heel height is also 3″ but I feel much taller wearing these.
Sometimes you can find comfortable shoes on sale at Payless, depending on when you go. I am officially done shoe shopping for the rest of my life (i.e. until they’re really no longer wearable)! 🙂
